Summer 2008 Intersession Storage Guidelines

What is Summer A Intersession Housing?
Summer A Intersession Housing is the period between May 2nd and May 11th, 2008 that permits current Spring 2008 residents, under certain conditions, to either live on-campus in their Summer A room assignment or store their items in their Summer A room assignment. Osprey Cove, Building V has been designated as the housing area Summer 2008. However, if occupancy is high, we will utilize Osprey Cove, Building U for additional summer housing.

If your schedule is not flexible (i.e., you have made travel plans or you have purchased plane tickets for a specific date) you may not be able to participate in Summer Intersession Housing. Please carefully review ALL of the information provided below.


Who is eligible to live on-campus during Summer A Intersession?
Current Spring 2008 residents who have a Summer A assignment in Osprey Cove AND have paid or deferred their Summer A 2008 rent may request to live on-campus for Intersession in Osprey Cove (May 2nd ? May 11th, 2008).

Who is eligible to leave their items on-campus during Summer A Intersession?
Current residents (Spring 2008) may move their items to their Summer A assignment and place them in the closet area of the room.

How much does it cost to participate in Intersession?
Living On-Campus Storage Only (No Occupancy)
Osprey Cove $180 Osprey Cove $75
 

How do I sign-up for Intersession Housing?
Residents requesting Summer A Intersession Housing need to complete and submit the Summer A Intersession Agreement Form for Summer 2008 no later than 5:00pm on Friday, April 18, 2008.

When do I pay the Summer A Intersession fee?
This fee must be paid no later than 3:00pm Monday, April 28, 2008. You will not be permitted to move to your Summer A Intersession assignment until you are able to provide proof of payment for Summer A 2008 housing (receipt and/or a copy of your Summer Pending Agreement). The Summer A Intersession fee must be paid in full to the Cashier?s Office (during regular business hours) located in Building 1.

Where will I live for Summer A Intersession?
Current residents who have a Summer A assignment AND have paid or deferred their Summer A 2008 and the Summer A Intersession rent will be assigned to their Summer A assignment. Osprey Cove, Building V has been designated as the housing area Summer 2008. However, if occupancy is high, we will utilize Osprey Cove, Building U for additional summer housing.

When am I able to move to my Summer A assignment?
On Friday, May 2, 2008 you must come to the Central Housing Office (after 3:00pm) to check into your Summer A room assignment in Osprey Cove. You must be checked-out of your Spring assignment and move to your Summer A 2008 assignment NO LATER THAN 3:00pm on Saturday, May 3, 2008.

What is the Check-In process for Summer A Intersession?
Beginning 3:00pm on Friday, May 2 you should come to the Central Housing Office to gain access to your Summer A Intersession room (Osprey Cove) and complete the necessary check-in paperwork. Since we are coordinating many room transfers, you must be available to move your belongings on Friday, May 2nd and check-out of your Spring 2008 room. You must move your belongings and check-out of your Spring 2008 assignment with an RA no later than 3:00pm on Saturday, May 3, 2008.

What if I do not move to my Summer A room Intersession assignment in Osprey Cove by 3:00pm Saturday, May 3rd, 2008?
If Housing Operations has to move any personal items and/or clean your Spring 2008 assignment, you will be assessed a minimum moving fee of $500.
